This Snow Dragon comes from Pu'er Zuxiang Highmountain Tea Garden in Yunnan China.  Managed by Mr. Dong, this 2,500 acre tea garden practices strict organic tea growing procedures without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.  Insects are controlled with sticky boards, insect lamps, and workers manually driving the insects away with a bamboo branch and electric mosquito swatters.  Mr. Dong's workers have been working in the tea garden for many years and are very experienced at controlling insects in these ways.  Mr. Dong uses only a sustainable organic fertilizer made from mostly sheep manure, humus, and compost.  He is unwavering in his emphasis on ecological balance and sustainable production techniques.

Zuxiang Tea Garden is located in the Wuliang mountains beside the Lancang River, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the pollution of the factory, and the dustfall of the roadways.  The tea garden's secluded high mountain pristine environment is surrounded by just green forest and blue skies.  Mr. Dong selected this location for his tea garden to be sure the tea is clean, healthy, and delicious.

Snow Dragon is made by hand- picking just the bud and first leaf of the tea plants in March 2019 in the first flush of the season.  The leaves are hand rolled 8 times to give it its distinct shape.  The tea gets its name from the white pekoe resembling snow, and the curvy shape resembling a dragon.
